The CFO of a large Enterprise believed their costs were much higher than similar organizations in their industry . These costs were allocated to their member organizations which found the costs to be quite high .
DEC was brought in for the project. It was not just analyzing the costs, but also working with Enterprise divisional offices across the board to understand their strategic plans , the human capital requirements and look ahead for the next year.
DEC Principals built an evaluation framework and also used innovative methods like sandbox to capture the various scenarios while working with the Divisions .
Based on this, DEC carried out a detailed Management Analysis and presented Recommendations to the CFO., including equitable cost allocation.
The plan was implemented and highly appreciated by the member organizations
An organization was using age old processes and techniques for setting up their Performance metrics. The Business environment had changed considerably and the metrics no longer reflected the current scenario. As a result the Board found that the Executive Management was losing motivation , as despite their best efforts, goals and targets were often not met due to faulty application of the metrics
DEC was brought in to get a fresh perspective . DEC Principals spent time with Management and critical divisions to understand the Normal and Abnormal conditions.
DEC devised a set of metrics which were based on real world scenarios , had the flexibility to include some abnormal conditions. These metrics were both quantitative and qualitative . The Executive Management approved the new metrics , they are in use by the organization and have a planned review and validation cycle
